Tactical Emergency Critical Care Course Alert to all Media

Who: Local media, the Center of Operational Medicine at Augusta University, and Augusta Regional Airport Emergency Crews.

What: The Center of Operational Medicine at Augusta University will conduct a tactical emergency critical care course located at Augusta Regional Airport. Participants include Augusta University medical staff, the Airports' ARFF Staff, Airports' Marshals Department, Augusta Richmond County Sheriff's Office, and other outside agencies. These teams will conduct an active shooter situation that will require rapid extrication of injured personnel. All participating parties will be dressed in tactical gear and using their emergency vehicles.

When: Tuesday, February 23, 2016. The event will run from approximately 9:00 am.-5:30 pm.

Where: This event will take place in the Weather Building which is located directly in front of the General Aviation Terminal. Please see attached map for exact location.

Why: The course will provide all parties with the opportunity to train and prepare for such real life incident.
