Augusta Aviation Commission (AAC) narrows the search for next Augusta Regional Airport Executive Director to four candidates.

Augusta, Georgia, March 8, 2016 - The search for the next Executive Director for Augusta Regional Airport has been narrowed down to four final candidates by the Augusta Aviation Commission.

Interim Executive Director, Gary LeTellier, has held the position since November 2015. The AAC contracted with ADK Consulting & Executive Search in October 2015 to assist in a nationwide search for the new director. Four finalists were selected from a large pool of applicants after a series of written exams and telephone interviews.

"The AAC is very pleased with the quality of the candidates who have applied for the position," said Rev. Karlton Howard, Chairman, Human Resources Committee, Augusta Aviation Commission. "The four finalists all have strong credentials in airport management and we feel confident that any of them would be an excellent choice."

Final interviews were conducted Monday, March 7th. Once selected, the AAC will begin negotiations on a final contract. Candidate Bios are included.

Jerry Brienza has twenty plus years of experience in the aviation industry. He has been the Airport Director at the Tri-State Airport (HTS) in Huntington, WV since 2008. He also served as the Director of Aviation at the Pueblo Memorial Airport in Pueblo, Colorado. Mr. Brienza holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.

Herbert Judon has over twenty years of experience in aviation. He has held the position of Assistant Aviation Director of Operations with Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CTL) since 2012. He has also served as an Air Support Operations Operator/Instructor with the US Marine Corps as well as Commander for the North Carolina National Guard's 1450th Transportation Company. Mr. Judon holds a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina/Charlotte. He also holds accreditations as an Accredited Airport Executive from the American Association of Airport Executives (A.A.A.E.), as well as, the International Airport Professional from the Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program.

Frank Miller possesses thirty three years of experiences as an Aviation Director. He has held the position of Aviation Director with San Antonio Airport System (SAT) in San Antonio, TX since 2009. He was also the Airport Director for Pensacola Regional Airport (PNS) in Florida for twenty two years. Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University, as well as, his Accredited Airport Executive from the American Association of Airport Executives (A.A.A.E.)

Kip Turner has years of experience in airport management, business development and leadership. He has held the position of Director of Aviation with the City of Durango, Durango LA Plata County Airport (DRO), Durango, CO since 2013. Previously Mr. Turner was the Director of Operations for Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP), Panama City, Florida. Mr. Turner holds a Bachelor of Aviation Management from Auburn University, as well as, his Certified Member accreditation from the American Association of Airport Executives (A.A.A.E.).
